We’re pleased to present a talk by local cooper John Cox of Quercus Cooperage in High Falls. Mr. Cox is well versed in the traditional techniques of barrel making. In the 19th century, cement manufactured at the Snyder Estate and other local factories in was packed into barrels and barged down to New York or wherever they were used. Often, these barrels were manufactured on site!
